ROCKPORT, Maine — The town said its new planner will begin work Nov. 14.
The town issued a news release Thursday, announcing that James Francomano is the new planning and community development director, replacing Bill Najpauer, who left in July.
Francomano is currently employed as a senior planner for the Maine Land Use Planning Commission. Before that he worked for Belfast as its assistant planner/alternate code enforcement officer, and also previously worked as the city planner for Presque Isle. Prior to that, he was a senior planner for the Berkshire Regional Planning Commission in Massachusetts.
His starting salary will be $54,000.
