SANFORD, Maine — A local man was arrested Monday and is facing multiple charges, including aggravated trafficking in schedule drugs, police said.
Jesse Roy, 35, of Sanford also is accused of terrorizing with a dangerous weapon, according to Sanford Detective Sgt. Matthew Jones.
Roy had been sought by police since a Friday incident at his residence involving a firearm, Jones said. An arrest warrant was obtained for him.
While performing surveillance on the residence, police observed Roy leave the home at 8 p.m. and get into a vehicle, Jones said. A felony traffic stop ensued, he said.
Roy, who was alone in the vehicle, was arrested without incident. Police searched the vehicle and allegedly found 94 grams of heroin, $24,000 cash and a semi-automatic firearm.
The street value of the drugs was listed at $14,000, according to Jones.
Roy’s bail was set at $50,000.
