Three players from Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference schools and Scarborough High School’s Maddy Dobecki have been named finalists for Miss Maine Field Hockey.
Cony High School of Augusta’s Arika Brochu, Skowhegan’s Rylie Blanchet and Mount View of Thorndike’s Kersey Boulay joined Dobecki as finalists for the state’s top senior player.
Brochu is a forward/midfielder while the other three are midfielders.
All are tri-captains of their respective teams.
Blanchet has guided the defending four-time Class A state champion Indians to a 12-2 record and the top seed in the EM Class A playoffs; Dobecki has led Scarborough to a 14-0 season and the No. 1 seed in the Western Maine Class A Heal points standings; Brochu has helped Cony to an 8-6 mark and the fifth seed in the EM A playoffs and Boulay has played an important role in Mount View’s 8-4-2 season and No. 4 seed in the EM Class C playoffs.
The winner will be announced at the annual Maine Field Hockey Association’s December banquet at the Augusta Civic Center.
Skowhegan midfielder Allison Lancaster won it last season and is playing at Providence College this season.
