ROCKLAND, Maine — A woman and her grandson were taken to a local hospital after a two-car crash in Rockland on Friday afternoon.

Jeffery Brazier, 40, of Rockland was driving south on Old County Road in a 2013 Honda Pilot when he reportedly failed to stop at a red light and struck the front of a 2004 Toyota Camry traveling east on Route 17, according to Rockland police Sgt. Kenneth Smith.

The other vehicle was driven by Cynthia Henkel, 62, of Thomaston. Henkel and her grandson, no age available, were taken to Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport. Henkel complained of pain in her head and neck. Her grandson was taken to the hospital for evaluation, the officer said.

The crash occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m.
