WISCASSET, Maine — A 25-year-old Edgecomb woman is in critical condition at Central Maine Medical Center after a crash Saturday morning.

Kristin Ramile was traveling south on Route 27, also known as Gardiner Road, when the 2007 Toyota Yaris she was driving crossed the center line, struck a ditch on the northbound side and flew into the air, striking a tree before rolling over, according to a release from Wiscasset Police Chief Troy Cline.

Ramile was extricated from the car by Wiscasset firefighters and taken by ambulance to Wiscasset High School, and then by Lifeflight of Maine to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

She was listed in critical condition Saturday afternoon.

The crash is being reconstructed by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
