GORHAM, Maine — Gorham police are searching for a man they say robbed a convenience store armed with a gun and a knife.
Police say the Irving Lil’ Mart on Ossippe Trail was robbed at 9:30 p.m. Monday. The clerk told police a man entered the store, showed a gun and a knife, and demanded money. The clerk refused and called police for help.
Police say the man tried to get into the register on his own but was unsuccessful. He then took off running toward Standish.
The man is described as between 5’4″ and 5’6″ tall, with light brown hair and green eyes. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a hat, jeans and a fake beard.
