Arrested were Matthew Mennealy, 33, of Auburn, Kayla Fraser, 25, of Auburn and Gregory St. Pierre, 35, of Lewiston, according to Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Cmdr. Scott Pelletier.
The trio have been under investigation during the last month into the distribution of heroin, crack cocaine and prescription medication in Lewiston and Auburn, according to Pelletier.
At 4 p.m. Sunday, drug agents observed an alleged drug deal inside a parked vehicle on Sabattus Street in Lewiston, and all three suspects were found inside the vehicle and detained, Pelletier said.
Located inside the vehicle and packaged for resale were crack cocaine, oxycodone pills, heroin, fentanyl, prescription drugs and a loaded handgun.
Upon searching Mennealy and Fraser’s Auburn residence, 52 grams of crack cocaine, 83 grams of cocaine hydrochloride, 70 grams of heroin, 33 grams of fentanyl, 126 oxycodone pills, five firearms and digital scales were seized, Pelletier said. The estimated street value of the drugs is $60,000.
Mennealy and Fraser are facing six aggravated trafficking in scheduled drug counts and a charge of carrying a concealed weapon. St. Pierre is accused of unlawful possession of a schedule drug, carrying a concealed weapon and trafficking in dangerous knives. All were taken to the Androscoggin County Jail.
Bail for Mennealy was set at $50,000, Fraser $2,000 and St. Pierre $250. Lewiston, Auburn and state police assisted MDEA in the investigation.
