STURBRIDGE, Massachusetts — Two Piscataquis County men were arrested last weekend in Massachusetts and are facing drug charges, according to Bay State authorities.

Brandon Hanson, 27, of Brownville and Joshua Trowbridge, 30, of Milo are each facing a charge of trafficking in a Class A substance, according to a statement from Massachusetts State Police.

Hanson and Trowbridge were traveling along Interstate 84 on Dec. 20 when they were stopped by Trooper Sergio Figueiredo around 6 p.m., according to the statement.

A large quantity of heroin was located on Trowbridge and inside the car, according to the statement, and both men were placed under arrest.

In addition to the drug charge, Hanson also was charged with possession of a Class B substance and multiple traffic violations, the statement said.
