LONDONDERRY — New Hampshire State Police and a Maine police department searched a Londonderry home and car in connection to a recent shooting.

Rachel M. Owens, 55, of 3 Winthrop Lane was shot multiple times while staying at a house in Saco, Maine, on Dec. 18.

She was sleeping in a bedroom in the Saco house, Saco police said in a statement Friday.

One of the homeowners, Steven Chabot, 55, was also shot during a home invasion, Saco police said.

Police declined to comment on the specifics of the injuries.

“I do not believe them to be life-threatening,” police Chief Bradley Paul said Friday.

The two were taken to Maine Medical Center.

There was no record of Owens or Chabot at Maine Medical Center on Friday, Matt Paul, director of communications and public affairs said.

Chabot’s wife, Carol , 55, was not injured because she hid under a desk.

New Hampshire State police and Saco police searched the Londonderry home on Dec. 19.

In addition, police also seized a vehicle that Gregg Owens, Rachel’s husband, was driving hours after the shooting was reported, according to the prepared statement issued Dec. 24.

The car was seized on behalf of Saco police by New Hampshire State Police on the day of the shooting, Paul said.

Detectives are still interviewing witnesses and examining evidence taken from the home and vehicle, Paul said.

The evidence will be analyzed at the Maine State Police Crime Lab in Augusta, he said.

Police would not say what they found during the searches.
