WINSLOW, Maine — Winslow High School was evacuated for a short time Monday after a threat was discovered on a wall in a boys’ bathroom, according to police Lt. Josh Veilleux.
The threat was reported at 11:45 a.m., according to Veilleux, and school administrators and the school’s resource officer immediately were notified.
Students were evacuated to the junior high school while police searched the building, Veilleux said.
The search team included explosive detection canines from state police, but no explosives were found and students returned to school at 1:45 p.m., Veilleux said.
No arrests have been made, and police are investigating the matter further.
