FALMOUTH, Maine — Logan Valle, who police suspected burned down his family’s home last November, has been indicted by the Cumberland County grand jury on four charges, but not arson.
Valle, 18, was charged with Class B burglary, Class E theft, Class D criminal trespass, and Class D criminal mischief. Valle was not indicted in connection with the Nov. 15, 2014, fire that destroyed his family’s 12 Inverness Road home, or with an attempt to set fire to the Chevrolet Tahoe he had been sleeping in that night.
The day before the blaze, Valle was kicked out of the home by his mother for “erratic behavior,” according to court documents filed in November.
The indictments stem from Valle allegedly breaking into two nearby homes on the night of the blaze, when he was suspected to be under the influence of the synthetic drug known as bath salts.
