NORTH BERWICK, Maine — Noble High School was evacuated Wednesday morning due to a bomb threat, officials said.
All students and staff were transported from Noble High to the middle school, MSAD 60 Superintendent Steve Connolly said in a statement posted on the district’s website.
All middle and high school students were dismissed for the day at approximately 12:45 p.m.
State and local police and a canine unit were called to the school and no explosives were found, according to a later statement posted by Connolly.
The building has been cleared but will remain closed for the evening as all after-school activities were canceled for Wednesday afternoon. The incident remains under investigation.
“We will discover the identity of the perpetrator(s) and follow through to the full extent of options available to the school district,” Connolly said in the statement
