GRAY, Maine — With a winter storm trucking its way up the East Coast, the National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for much of the state.
The storm is expected to bring heavy snow to southeastern New Hampshire and coastal Maine Saturday afternoon into Saturday night, according to the weather service.
At least 6 and up to 10 inches are possible, according to the weather service. The storm is expected to taper off by Saturday night.
Counties affected by the winter storm watch include York, Cumberland, Lincoln, Sagadahoc, Knox, coastal Waldo, Penobscot, Hancock and Washington counties, according to the weather service.
Areas to the north and west of the Bangor area aren’t expected to see heavy accumulation.
