FARMINGTON, Maine — A man currently incarcerated at the Penobscot County Jail is facing a gross sexual assault charge out of Franklin County, according to Sheriff Scott Nichols.
Shawn Flagg, 39, of Stetson, a Farmington native, was arrested and charged at the jail on Monday, according to Nichols.
Flagg is currently being held on charges not related to the gross sexual assault.
Nichols said the arrest occurred in connection with a gross sexual assault complaint that occurred in Farmington in 2010.
Flagg will eventually be transported to Franklin County Jail, where bail will be set at $10,000, and will appear in court, the sheriff said.
