WARREN, Maine — Three people were injured Sunday afternoon when a vehicle crossed the center line of Route 90 and struck two other vehicles.

Knox County Sheriff Donna Dennison said the driver of the Nissan Frontier pickup truck that caused the crash, Mark Boisvert, is expected to be charged. She did not detail what charges would be levied against Boisvert.

Boisvert’s truck veered into the oncoming lane shortly before 3:30 p.m. and struck an oncoming Toyota Corolla driven by Ashlie Staples, according to the accident report by Deputy Paul Spear. The impact forced Staples’ vehicle off the road.

Boisvert’s vehicle then spun around and collided with a 2005 Jeep Cherokee driven by Hannah Brewer.

Staples and Brewer were able to get out of their vehicles on their own. Both were taken to Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport by Northeast Mobile Health Services with complaints of pain.

Passersby helped get Boisvert, who suffered facial and head injuries, out of his pickup truck, according to the sheriff. He was taken to PBMC by Warren Emergency Medical Services.

All three vehicles were towed from the scene.
