BOSTON — Jared Sullinger collected 17 points and 15 rebounds and Evan Turner hit a running floater in the lane with 0.2 seconds remaining as the Boston Celtics rallied from an 18-point deficit to stun the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday night at the TD Garden.

Turner finished with 12 points, nine assists and seven rebounds and Marcus Thornton scored 14 off the bench for the Celtics, who have won four of their last five. Avery Bradley and Marcus Smart added 11 points apiece for Boston, which won despite shooting 32.3 percent from the field.

Al Horford tallied 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Hawks, who had won 13 straight against Eastern Conference opponents. DeMarre Carroll scored 14 points, Paul Millsap had 11 and Jeff Teague contributed 10 points and eight assists for Atlanta.

Atlanta led 79-65 with 7:43 to play, but the Celtics rattled off eight straight points to make a game of it and pulled within one on Bradley’s 3-pointer with 1:39 left. After two empty trips from the Hawks and one from the Celtics, Turner took Carroll one-on-one and hit the game-winner.

The Celtics missed 10 of their first 11 shots as Atlanta raced to a 16-2 lead behind eight early points from Horford. The Hawks led by as many as 18 in the half before Thornton’s 3-pointer in the final minute pulled Boston within 49-34 at the break.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Celtics C Kelly Olynyk (ankle) missed his 11th straight game and will not play in the Rising Stars Challenge. … Boston improved to 2-23 when shooting for a lower percentage than the opposition. … The Celtics had a 56-44 edge on the boards, including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds.

Magic 89, Knicks 83

Nikola Vucevic recorded 28 points and 18 rebounds for his 32nd double-double of the season as Orlando handed visiting New York its fifth straight loss.

Victor Oladipo contributed 19 points and Willie Green chipped in 13 off the bench for the Magic, who improved to 2-2 since coach Jacque Vaughn was fired. Elfrid Payton had 12 points and four assists while Dewayne Dedmon blocked six shots before fouling out for Orlando.

Jason Smith scored a season-high 25 points to go along with seven rebounds for the Knicks, who were without All-Star Carmelo Anthony (knee). Andrea Bargnani had a season-best 11 points and Tim Hardaway Jr. added 10 for New York, which shot 34.2 percent from the field while making 28-of-36 from the free-throw line.

Smith made a jumper followed by 1-of-2 free throws to tie the game at 75 before Oladipo and Payton each drained two from the line and Vucevic scored in the lane for an 81-75 lead with 3:16 to go. Vucevic capped the run with a basket and nailed another jumper with 1:14 left for an 85-77 edge to give the Magic the cushion they needed.

The Knicks trailed by as many as six in the first half, but Smith made 9-of-12 from the field to score 21 points as they edged in front 47-44 at intermission. New York led by four early in the third quarter and had a one-point bulge before Orlando ran off seven of the last nine — five by Green — to take a 64-60 lead into the fourth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Magic F Tobias Harris, averaging 17.4 points, sat out with a sore right knee while Orlando F Channing Frye scored three before leaving early in the third quarter with a dislocated finger. … New York F Lance Thomas, who scored 16 in the last meeting against Orlando, also missed the contest with a groin injury. … Green has scored in double figures four of the last eight games after not accomplishing the feat in his first 26 contests of the season.
