BERWICK, Maine — Six horses were rescued after the roof of a barn collapsed around 3 p.m. Sunday on Cranberry Meadow Road.
The woman who owns the barn said she has been trying to stay ahead of the snow, which has been piling up on the roof, but this winter has just been too much.
Her neighbors heard the roof cave in and called for help. All animals that were inside the barn escaped injury.
