DEDHAM, Maine — A local man is facing a sexual assault charge after a woman whom he contacted on Facebook said he assaulted her, according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
Howard Frye, 51, was arrested on Feb. 13, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.
The statement said Frye and the woman had met on Facebook. She told police Frye forcibly sexually assaulted her in her home.
Frye was charged with gross sexual assault after his arrest and taken to the Hancock County Jail.
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
