LIMINGTON, Maine — Two York County men were charged with aggravated assault on Sunday after deputies say they severely beat another man in his driveway.
George Gilliam, 45, of Limerick, and Thomas Robertshaw, 63, of Limington, were each charged with the felony and release from York County Jail on $1,000 cash bail.
Deputies went to Hemlock Lane at about 2 p.m. Sunday and found the alleged victim bleeding from the mouth, with two teeth knocked out and possible broken ribs, according to a release on the York County Sheriff’s Office website.
Limington rescue took the man to Maine Medical Center. His condition was not available Monday morning.
According to the release, an investigation determined that the man was snowblowing a driveway when a former girlfriend approached him and the two had a conversation. The woman then allegedly complained about the interaction to Gilliam and Robertshaw, who went to the place the victim was working and allegedly beat him.
Although the two were not at the scene when deputies were investigating, they allegedly returned to the driveway and were arrested, according to the release.
Both are scheduled to appear in York County Superior Court on April 1.
