WINSLOW, Maine — Traffic along the Cushman Road was slowed Wednesday morning because of a single-vehicle rollover accident, according to Police Chief Shawn O’Leary.
Christopher Carron, 28, of Rome was traveling north when he lost control shortly after 8 a.m., according to O’Leary.
Carron exited his vehicle by the time police and rescue workers arrived on scene, O’Leary said.
He intended to make a U-turn but upon entering the shoulder of the road lost control, spun and struck a tree, O’Leary said.
Carron suffered minor injuries and was brought to Inland Hospital in Waterville, O’Leary said.
Slick road conditions were the main cause of the crash, which snarled traffic for about 45 minutes.
