BANGOR, Maine — A trio of Connecticut men were arrested Wednesday afternoon after an 18-month investigation into the sale of heroin and crack cocaine in the area, according to Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Cmdr. Peter Arno.
Arrested and charged with aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs were Miguel Nonossi, 25, Ymmar Dockery, 30 and Marguis Hines, 26, all of New Haven, Arno said.
The arrests occurred after an undercover investigation, during which heroin and crack cocaine were purchased from the trio at an Ohio Street apartment, Arno said.
After the trio were arrested, 7 ounces of heroin, 4 ounces of crack cocaine, more than $15,000 in cash and three guns were seized, Arno said. The seized drugs are valued at $40,000.
Arno said the significant seizures continue the troubling trend of out-of-state drug traffickers moving into Maine to conduct illegal activity.
Bangor police and the attorney general’s office assisted MDEA agents in the investigation. Bail was set at $100,000 cash for all three men, who were taken to Penobscot County Jail.
