LEWISTON, Maine — A man is accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend in the chest and leaving her lying on the ground Wednesday evening.
Around 5:30 p.m. officers responded to the corner of Bartlett and Pine Streets where they say they found a 38-year-old woman laying in the grass with a stab wound on the left side of her chest. Police say the knife punctured her lung. She is being treated at the hospital, and her injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.
Police arrested Joshua Blackman, 29, on charges of domestic violence, elevated aggravated assault and criminal threatening.
