PORTLAND, Maine — A Congress Street convenience store was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night, according to a police statement.
The statement said the male suspect entered the Gulf Mart and brandished his weapon while demanding cash.
The robber was not given any money and fled the store up Neal Street. No customers were in the building and nobody was injured.
The suspect is described as a white male standing 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black shirt under a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans with a black hat, and his face was covered with a black bandana and black sunglasses.
