University of Maine junior center Devin Shore, who recently signed a contract with the NHL’s Dallas Stars, was named to the All-Hockey East second team at the league’s awards banquet in Boston on Thursday night.

Junior defenseman Ben Hutton, who has signed with Vancouver, was named as an honorable mention.

The voting is conducted among the league’s coaches.

Shore led the team in scoring for the third straight season as he had 14 goals and 21 assists in 39 games.

Shore also led the team in game-winning goals with three and in shots on goal with 133. He had seven multiple-point games and Maine won all seven.

Shore was a first team Hockey East selection and a second team All-American a year ago.

“Devin was an outstanding player for us. He deserves all the accolades he receives. He had a good year,” said Maine coach Red Gendron.

Shore was also chosen to the second team of the Hockey East Writers and Broadcasters Association’s second team.

He became the 53rd Maine player to break the 100-point barrier and finished his career with 34 goals and 70 assists while playing in 112 consecutive games.

He never missed a game.

Hutton led the Black Bear defensemen in points for the third consecutive season as he racked up 21 on nine goals and 12 assists. He had a game-winning goal, a shorthanded goal and two power-play goals.

Hutton was also a first team All-Hockey East and a second team All-American a year ago when he led the nation’s defensemen in goals with 15 while also becoming the first defenseman to ever lead the Black Bears in goals.

He concluded his career with 28 goals and 37 assists in 108 games.

Boston University freshman center and Hobey Baker Award finalist Jack Eichel was named the league’s Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year and BU’s David Quinn was named the Coach of the Year.
