CAMBRIDGE, Maine — A local man was hospitalized Friday after being pinned between a tractor and his vehicle, according to Somerset County sheriff’s deputies.
Raymond Bailey, 80, suffered a severe laceration to his leg and possible internal injuries, according to Cpl. Richie Putnam.
Bailey had parked his car behind a tractor that was being operated by the owner of the Cambridge Farm on Goose Flat Road, according to Putnam.
The owner did not see Bailey or the vehicle as the tractor was backing up, and Bailey wound up pinned between the tractor’s rear-side passenger tire and the car.
Bailey was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, according to Putnam. Cambridge firefighters, Harmony Ambulance and Delta Ambulance responded, along with sheriff’s deputies.
No charges are expected.
