WASHBURN, Maine — Local police are asking the public for help in solving a break-in that happened sometime Tuesday night at White’s Service on Main Street.

An employee of the auto repair shop noticed at 6 a.m. Wednesday that a door of the business had been kicked in, according to Officer Luke Blackstone of the Washburn Police Department.

When police arrived, it was determined that rolled quarters and a jar of loose quarters had been taken, Blackstone said. The amount stolen was not disclosed.

“There was other money there that was easy to find,” Blackstone said. “So this looks like it was a quick in-and-out.”

Police have no suspects at this time and are asking anyone with information to contact the Washburn Police Department at 455-4043.
