AUGUSTA, Maine — A Belfast man who allegedly struck a minivan and injured a woman while driving under the influence and without a valid license in February was among the 35 people indicted this month by the Kennebec County grand jury.
Alan F. Green Jr., 44, also is accused of attempting to elude Augusta police officers who tried to pull him over, according to a published report at centralmaine.com.
Green was indicted on charges of aggravated assault, operating after revocation, eluding an officer, criminal OUI, driving to endanger and failure to stop for an officer, according to the list of indictments issued by the Kennebec County district attorney’s office.
Also indicted were several people accused of sex crimes involving juveniles.
David Morissette, 45, of Winslow was indicted on four counts of unlawful sexual contact with a child under the age of 14, and Cary J. Allen, 29, of South China, was indicted on two counts of unlawful sexual contact with a child under the age of 12.
Benjamin T. Brazier, 55, of Gardiner was indicted on charges of gross sexual assault, unlawful sexual contact and assault of a child under the age of 14. He also was indicted on a charge of failure to appear.
