LIMINGTON, Maine — A Limington man was injured Sunday morning when his vehicle was broadsided by a tractor-trailer, according to York County Sheriff William King.

Albert Werner, 69, was traveling north on Route 11 when his Geo Prizm was broadsided by an empty tanker trailer truck driven by John Hodges, 33, of Standish, according to King.

Werner was broadsided upon driving through a traffic signal at the intersection of Routes 11 and 25, King said. Hodges was traveling along Route 25.

King said extreme fog was likely a contributor to the accident. Hodges was transported to Maine Medical Center for injuries not considered life-threatening.

Deputies are looking to speak with the driver of a white Toyota pickup who may have witnessed the accident.
