GRAY, Maine — Fire danger remained high throughout the state on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
With gusty winds and dry air in the forecast, the weather service had the entire state under a red flag warning.
A red flag warning occurs when critical fire danger is evident, with strong winds, low humidity and low temperatures creating potential for explosive fire growth.
The red flag warnings are expected to remain in effect through Tuesday night.
