ROCKLAND, Maine — A Rockland home was damaged Thursday morning when a car slammed into it after a two-vehicle collision.

There were no injuries, but one car was destroyed in the crash at about 9 a.m., according to Rockland police Sgt. Donald Finnegan.

A 2009 GMC car driven by Meredith Leiter, 60, of Rockland was heading east on Beech Street when it crossed Broadway and collided with a 1995 Oldsmobile driven by Weston Dearborn, 84, of Rockland that was heading south on Broadway, according to police.

The impact sent the Oldsmobile into a spin, off the road and into the house at 223 Broadway, police said.

There was damage to the foundation and a wall of the house, according to police. The lawn also was damaged.

The Oldsmobile was destroyed, and there was damage to Leiter’s vehicle.

Police did not have an estimate on the damage to the home, which is owned by Warren Kincaid.

There is a stop sign for traffic on Beech Street.

No one was charged in connection with the crash, the sergeant said.
