ELLIOTSVILLE TOWNSHIP, Maine — The Maine Warden Service reports that Michael Chapman and Kelli McFarlin have been located alive. This information is late-breaking and more details will follow this afternoon.

Game wardens were searching for the people from Newport, according to the Maine Warden Service.

Chapman, 40, and McFarlin, 38, were camping by Little Wilson Falls in Piscataquis County with six other people when they were last seen Monday, according to Cpl. John MacDonald.

The pair were last seen packing up camp and moving supplies to a vehicle, according to MacDonald. They never made it to the parking lot.

MacDonald said the two were reported missing shortly before 4 p.m. Monday. Officials searched on the ground and via aircraft until dark, and wardens continued efforts Tuesday. Maine Forest Rangers also aided in the search.
