CARIBOU, Maine — Local police are looking for whoever was responsible for breaking into a store in the city over the weekend.

At approximately 10:41 p.m Saturday, June 6, an intruder set off an alarm at Mike’s Quick Stop on the Presque Isle Road, Caribou police Chief Michael Gahagan said in a written statement released Tuesday.

Upon arriving, officers found the glass in the front door shattered with pieces of glass all over the interior of the store.

Police reported some merchandise was disturbed and some stolen.

No further information was released.
