CAMDEN, Maine — A 26-year-old Camden man has been charged as the result of a Tuesday night incident involving a loaded handgun.

Dylan M. Urquhart was charged with domestic violence criminal threatening with a weapon, domestic violence assault and carrying a concealed weapon, according to Camden Police Chief Randy Gagne.

Shortly after 7 p.m. police received a report of a domestic disturbance on Virginia Avenue, the chief said. Police from local agencies fanned out around Union and Limerock streets and were able to locate the man about 20 minutes later, the chief said.

The man was armed with a loaded 9 mm handgun, according to the chief.

The victim, a family member, was not seriously injured in the assault, the chief said.

Urquhart was taken to the Knox County Jail in Rockland, where he remained Wednesday morning.
