BELFAST, Maine — Police responded Friday evening to a report of a man with a gun at a residence on Waldo Avenue in Belfast, but ultimately found there was no such man or gun.
However, emergency responders did provide medical assistance to a man at the residence who suffered injuries when he evidently jumped out a second-story window.
The Belfast Police Department, the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office, Belfast Ambulance and the Maine State Police were on the scene. The first call came in at about 8 p.m.
Ultimately, officers determined that the situation was under control.
