HOULTON, Maine — A Houlton woman whose apartment was searched by police Wednesday has been charged with unlawful trafficking in methamphetamine.

Toni Bulley, 48, was incarcerated on that charge at the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton Wednesday evening, a booking officer confirmed.

Supervisory Special Agent Craig Holder of the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency’s Aroostook County task force said Wednesday evening that members of the MDEA, the Houlton Fire Department and the Houlton Police Department were at an apartment complex at 13 Columbia St., some wearing protective clothing and hazardous materials cleanup suits as they entered and exited the building.

Search warrants were executed at two apartments in the building on Tuesday and Wednesday, and more arrests are possible, according to Holder.

A neighbor, who did not wish to give her name, said Wednesday that she did not know Bulley well and saw her being taken from the apartment.

“There did not seem to me to be that much activity here, like a lot of cars coming or going,” she said. “But I guess you can’t really ever know.”
