AUBURN, Maine — A Minot man is facing multiple charges after allegedly eluding a state trooper who attempted to stop his motorcycle for speeding Thursday night, according to a state police statement.

Blaine Rozanski, 21, was clocked traveling 71 miles per hour in a 40 mph zone on Perkin’s Ridge Road, according to the statement.

When a trooper activated his lights and sirens, Rozanski sped away, reaching speeds of up to 131 MPH, the statement said.

Rozanski wound up losing control on a sharp curve, totaling his motorcycle, the statement said. He was not seriously injured and was treated at a local hospital and released.

Upon being discharged, police charged Rozanski with eluding an officer, criminal speeding, driving to endanger, attaching false plates and operating a motorcycle without endorsement.
