CANAAN – Debby Lou Beckwith-Noonan, 59, passed away early Sunday morning at
MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta due to complications resulting from a
vehicle accident. She was born in Skowhegan, Maine, on January 14, 1956, the
daughter of Bernard and Marilyn (Gerald) Charrier.
She was educated in local schools and a graduate of the University of Maine in Orono, with a BS in Social Work. She was formerly employed at Goodwill- Hinckley School prior to starting the Trapper’s Post Magazine with her husband Bob. She was very active in the Canaan Farmers’ Hall. She loved to fish, hunt, garden, cook, and do crafts.
She is predeceased by her first husband Danny Beckwith, daughter Chini Lee Beckwith, and step-grandchild Victoria Frost. She is survived by her husband Bob Noonan of Canaan, daughter Megan Beckwith of Falls Church, VA, son Vaughn Beckwith and wife Lauren of North Conway, NH,
and two step-sons, Robert J. Noonan, III and Paul Noonan. She was a loving
Nana to Gabby and Bailey and her step-grandchildren Christopher, Ivy, Henry, and Milo. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Ben, Wayne,
David, Mary, Valarie, Dawn, Lisa, Jean, Terry, Mary and Mark; two step-mothers, Doris and Camilla Charrier; and numerous nephews and nieces.
There will be a public viewing on Friday, June 26, from 6-8 p.m. at the
Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm Street, Waterville. There will be a funeral
service, which will include a Native American Pipe Ceremony, from 1-3 p.m.
on Saturday, June27, at Gallant’s. A reception with refreshments will be
held at 4 p.m. at the Carrabassett Mason Lodge, Canaan, ME. In lieu of
