BANGOR, Maine — Personnel from the Maine State Police, the Maine Warden Service and the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office continued their search for murder suspect Robert Burton on Friday while also distributing informational fliers to motorists along Route 15 in Guilford.

Robert Burton, 38, is wanted in connection with the death of his ex-girlfriend, Stephanie Ginn Gebo, 37. Gebo’s body was found on June 5 in her home in Parkman, according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland.

Burton, who has a long criminal history, is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Residents are advised to lock houses, vehicles and outbuildings and to report any suspicious activity by calling state police in Bangor at 973-3700 or 911.

There have been no confirmed sightings of Burton since June 17, when he was seen along a snowmobile trail in Guilford, McCausland said.
