BANGOR — James Neel pitched a four-inning no-hitter and added two doubles and a single at the plate on Thursday to propel the Bangor East all-stars to a 10-0 baseball victory over Sebasticook in an ages 11-12 contest at Taylor Field.

Neel struck out four and did not walk a batter for the 3-1 winners. Tyler Libby rapped a single and a double and drove in five runs for Bangor East.Keegan Cyr added two singles.

Sebasticook was eliminated with a 1-2 record.

Bangor East 14, Katahdin 1

At Island Falls on Wednesday, Jamie Leeds’ grand slam spearheaded a 10-run fourth inning that carried Bangor East to victory over Katahdin Valley.

Jaydrien Sandia pitched four innings, throwing only 46 pitches, to earn the win on the mound.

For Katahdin Valley, starting pitcher Gavin Vining only gave up one hit in three-plus innings. He belted a long, solo home run in the fourth inning.

Ellsworth 12, Calais 6

At Calais, Jackson Curtis struck out 12 on the mound and sparked the offense with two doubles, two singles and two RBIs as Ellsworth downed Calais.

Curtis spaced three hits and four walks over 4⅓ innings and was backed by two home runs, a single and five RBIs from Sam Keblinsky.

Tony Dana led Calais with a home runs, a single and three runs scored. Sebastian Deveaux drove in two runs with a single.

Machias 12, Acadians 9

At Bar Harbor on Wednesday, Nick Athern recorded a single, double and scored three runs while Kason Fergerson added a two-run triple to lead Machias to victory in a District 1 all-star tourney game.

Machias (3-1) advances in the championship round and will play at Ellsworth Friday while the Acadians finished at 2-2.

Drew Abelon added an RBI double and single while Brian Dennison notched two singles and an RBI and Ayden Wannamacher had an RBI single for Machias.

Quetin Pileggi paced the Acadians with two singles, a double and four RBIs. Evan Ankrom added two singles and three RBIs and Andrew James had a single and scored a run.

At Heddericg Field in Brewer on Wednesday night, the Falcons rallied for four runs in the seventh inning to notch the victory in an inning highlighted by Jake Gauvin’s RBI single and Alex Maxsimic’s bases-loaded walk.

Michael Grimble paced Brewer (8-2) with a homer, double, single and an RBI. Gauvin added three singles and two RBIs while Carter DeRedin contributed two singles and a double. Matt Pushard, Dylan Soper and Alex Brooks each chipped in with two singles with Pushard and Soper each adding an RBI.

Chase Malloy sparked Madison (3-8) with a double, triple and RBI while Brendan Curran added two singles and Chase Nelson had a single and an RBI.
