BANGOR, Maine — The Maine Forest Service, with the help of local firefighters, fought wildfires in three locations on Monday afternoon and evening.
One of the fires, which affected 2 acres off Main Road in Bradley, was extinguished within about an hour of the initial report, a Maine State Police dispatcher confirmed late Monday afternoon.
Under control but not yet extinguished was a 4-acre wildfire off Murder Road in Topsham and a 3-acre one off Myra Road in Greenfield Township, a Maine Forest Service spokesman said Monday night.
Crews worked at those two locations until dark and planned to return on Tuesday morning.
