BANGOR, Maine — Isaac Bushway recorded a home run, two singles and four RBIs to power Bangor West by Hermon 11-6 in the winners bracket final of the District 3 Little League all-star baseball tourney for ages 11-12 Monday.
Bangor West (4-0) advances to the first championship game in the double-elimination tourney on Thursday while Hermon (3-1) will travel to Old Town on Tuesday. The winner of that game will face Bangor West on Thursday.
Carson Prouty chipped in with a home run, single and two RBIs for Bangor. Drew Dorr added three singles while Adien Scripture had two singles with an RBI and Bradley McLaughlin contributed a double and an RBI.
Dorr was also the winning pitcher as he struck out five and walked one.
Ben Caron sparked Hermon with a double, single and an RBI. Nate Allian and Ryan Mailloux each added two singles with Allian driving in a run.

Scarborough 16, Ellsworth 3
At South Berwick, Hannah Gower scattered five singles over five innings and was backed by a 12-hit attack as the Scarborough all-stars earned the victory over Ellsworth in the Little League softball ages 11-12 state tournament.
Scarborough advances to the championship round and plays the winner of the losers’ bracket on Thursday. Ellsworth awaits the winner of Tuesday’s game between Bangor West and York.
Ryanne Cox hit a double and two singles and Sylvia Foley collected three singles for Scarborough. Caitlyn Noiles singled twice and Bella Dickinson added a double.
Trinity Montigny, Sara Shea, Kaylee Morey, Marissa Havey and Jayden Keefe hit singles for Ellsworth.

At Husson University in Bangor, the Coffee News Comrades scored six runs in the last two innings to earn a Zone 1 victory over Motor City at the Winkin Complex.
Jimmy Prescott pitched a three-hitter, giving up only an unearned run, and struck out five to set the tone for the Comrades. Sam Huston sparked the offense with a double, a single and two RBIs.
Trevor DeLaite (triple) and Peter Kemble each contributed two hits and an RBI.
Losing pitcher Tommy Burns spaced 10 hits while going the distance and joined Cody Collins and D.J. Monteith with singles for Motor City.

Acadians 4, Brewer 1
At Blue Hill, the Acadians overcame 14 runners left on base and Will Ricker pitched a complete-game four-hitter to lead the Acadians by the Brewer Falcons.
Joe Archambault’s (1-1, 3 BB, 1 run, 1 RBI) single in the third inning scored Garrison Looke with what proved to be the game-winning run for the Acadians (8-5).
Gage Feeney (two RBI) and Seth Young (RBI) each had two hits to lead the Acadians while Garrison Looke, Conor Maguire, Dakota Chipman, Finn McMahon and Jake Keenan each contributed with hits.
For the Falcons (9-4), Carter DeRedin had an RBI single, Alex Brooks had a double, and Jack Corey and Alex Maximic each posted singles. Jacob Gauvin took loss going 3.2 innings\, giving up only two earned runs.

At Heddericg field in Brewer on Sunday, the Coffee News Comrades (10-3) of Bangor erupted for 18 hits and 15 runs on route to the victory over Brewer.
Sam Huston and Jordan Derrah each had three hits and an RBI to lead Coffee News (10-3). Trevor DeLaite added two doubles and an RBI while Peter Kemble doubled, and singled with two RBIs. Andrew Hillier chipped in with two singles and two RBIs and Johnny Cote tripled, singled and added an RBI. Ben Crichton also produced a two RBI single for the Comrades while Kyle Stevenson added an RBI single.
Peter Kemble pitched seven strong innings, striking out nine and walking two while giving up nine singles to earn the win.
For Brewer (9-3), Matt Pushard recorded four singles and three RBIs. Alex Maxsimic singled twice with two RBIs and Chase Allen chipped in with two singles. Tyler McGuire added an RBI single.
