PORTLAND, Maine — A pair of city credit unions have increased their reward for information leading to the arrest of suspects allegedly responsible for robberies last spring, according to police.

TruChoice and cPort Federal credit unions, who have been working in conjunction with Portland police, have increased their respective rewards to $15,000, Portland police said in a statement.

The TruChoice credit union was robbed on May 26 while the cPort robbery occurred on June 19, according to the statement. The reward will be distributed upon verification and successful prosecution. The reward expires on Aug. 31.

In each case, an African-American man entered and brandished a handgun, demanding cash. No shots were fired and no injuries were reported in either case.

The alleged suspect in the cPort robbery is in his 20s or 30s, stands just over 6 feet tall and has a thin build while the TruChoice suspect stands between 5’10’’ and 6 feet tall, has a thin build and was wearing oversized glasses and a fake mustache, along with an Afro-style wig, a white hat, dark suit, black shoes and light collared shirt with striped tie.
