EASTON, Maine — A Fort Fairfield man died in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday in Easton, according to a news release from the Maine State Police.

Jamey Kennedy, 27, was driving his 2004 Toyota Matrix east on Conant Road and started into a corner when he lost control of the vehicle, police said. He crossed the roadway and went into a ditch and the vehicle rolled several times before coming to a rest on its side, police said.

Kennedy was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, according to police.

Kennedy was taken to The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.

The crash remains under investigation.

Fort Fairfield Police Department, Aroostook County Sheriff’s Department, Easton Fire Department and Crown Ambulance assisted troopers at the scene.
