SURRY, Maine — Ten teenagers or twenty-somethings have been charged with drinking-related offenses after a local man called police Monday to report a loud party at a neighboring property.
According to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department, responding deputies discovered multiple people committing violations when they responded to the location.
Jacob Hale of Hancock and Jordan Lord of Blue Hill, both 20, were arrested on alleged probation violations, while Lord also was charged with illegal possession of liquor by a minor.
Logan Bubar, 21, of Surry was arrested for allegedly furnishing a place for minors to consume liquor, according to Lt. Chris Thornton of the sheriff’s department. Emily Dennison, 19, of Hancock was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant out of Penobscot County.
Four people 18 years old or older were charged with alleged illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, Thornton indicated. They are Stephen Cowles, 19, of Ellsworth; Brett Ingraham, 18, of Brooklin; Kyle Linscott, 19, of Ellsworth; and Morgan Thurston, 18, of Bar Harbor.
Two 16-year-old girls, one from Ellsworth and another from Surry, also each were charged with illegal possession of liquor by a minor and released to their parents, Thornton said.
