SACO, Maine — Crews from the U.S. Coast Guard and local fire departments are en route to Old Orchard Beach following a report that at 42-foot sailboat is taking on water.
Three adults remained on the boat, Chief Michael Faivre of Coast Guard Sector Northern New England said at 9 a.m.
A 47-foot Coast Guard lifeboat, along with boats from the Saco and Scarborough fire departments, is headed to the scene, as well as Sea Tow, a commercial salvage company.
Faivre said the sailboat was still afloat at 9 a.m.
“Manual and electric pumps are still keeping up,” he said.
