Business Hall of Fame
BANGOR — Since 1990, Junior Achievement of Maine’s Business Hall of Fame has honored the state’s most distinguished businessmen and women for their outstanding contributions to free enterprise and the promise of a better, stronger society.
Three exceptional business leaders have been welcomed as laureates into the Junior Achievement of Maine Business Hall of Fame in an induction ceremony that will take place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at the Bangor Hilton Garden Inn in Bangor.
The Junior Achievement Maine Business Hall of Fame North laureates for 2015 include:
- Joseph H. Cyr, president of John T. Cyr and Sons Inc.
- Larry Shaw, president and chief executive officer of MMG Insurance .
- Edward L. Hennessey Jr., chairman of the board of directors, Machias Savings Bank.
These three honorees join a distinguished group of 76 men and women who have been inducted into the Junior Achievement of Maine Business Hall of Fame.
Device workshops
U.S. Cellular will offer a free Device Workshop 9-10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at 403 Wilson St. in Brewer and 9-10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at 33 Mid Mall Blvd in Bangor. The workshop is open to everyone, and you don’t have to be a U.S. Cellular customer to attend.
