BURNHAM, Maine — Two men from Burnham have been arrested and charged in connection with a series of reported break-ins and thefts in the area.

Caleb Roy, 22, and Colby Patterson, 22, were charged last week after Detective Gerald Lincoln and Deputy Jordan Tozier of the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office investigated the break-ins. Among items reported stolen are computers, tools, jewelry and one firearm, according to a media release issued Tuesday by the sheriff’s office.

In the course of the investigation, some of the stolen property was recovered, officials said. Roy has been charged with Class B burglary, Class D theft and Class E theft. Patterson was charged with Class B burglary, Class B receiving stolen property, Class D receiving stolen property and Class E theft.

The penalty for a Class B crime, the most serious charges faced by Roy and Patterson, is up to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of up to $20,000.

Police said more charges are likely to be levied against the two men as the investigation continues.
