PORTLAND, Maine — Police on Friday identified the man whose body was found Monday in the harbor as 43-year-old John Fonville of Portland, a news release from the Portland Police Department stated.

Officials at the medical examiner’s office continue to investigate the death, but Vernon Malloch, Portland’s assistant police chief, said it is not deemed suspicious.
