AUGUSTA, Maine — A man and a woman face multiple charges in connection with a pair of city robberies this week, according to police.
Paul Fazzi, 23, and Daysha Hannan, 21, both of Augusta, are facing two charges of robbery in connection with incidents at the Big Apple on Stone Street on Thursday and Grondin Certified Cleaners on Tuesday, according to Augusta Deputy Chief Jared Mills.
The Big Apple robbery was reported shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday, when a woman allegedly passed a note to a clerk indicating she was armed and demanding cash, according to Mills.
The woman, who was not armed, was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled. Nobody was injured.
About an hour after the incident was reported, Augusta police Detective Chris Blodgett spotted Fazzi, Hannan’s alleged accomplice, on Glendale Drive. Fazzi matched the description of the suspect who was with Hannan in the Tuesday robbery of the dry cleaners, Mills said.
Hannan was located shortly after police found Fazzi, and both were placed under arrest and charged with two counts of robbery, Mills said.
More charges are expected as police review the cases. Bail for Fazzi was set at $6,000, and Hannan’s bail was set at $5,000.
