CARTHAGE, Maine — A man was arrested late Saturday night as Franklin County sheriff’s deputies broke up an underage drinking party at a West Side Drive residence.
Eight minors were discovered at the residence when a sheriff’s deputy arrived shortly after 11 p.m., according to Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols.
The resident, Zachary Demars, 19, was arrested and charged with furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol, violating conditions of release, being a minor in possession of alcohol and possession of marijuana.
A juvenile who also lives at the residence was summoned for furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol, minor in possession of alcohol and marijuana possession, Nichols said.
